Who can apply
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to apply to study for one or more of our courses. Individuals who have encountered educational obstacles in the past are especially encouraged to apply, as are people of low income. We welcome applications from all backgrounds. The Socrates Project does not discriminate based on nationality, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, bodily ability, or on any other basis. Applicants must demonstrate in an application and interview that they can read and speak English at a level that allows them to read assigned texts and participate in class discussion. No other educational prerequisites or qualifications are required. Our courses are entirely free.
How to apply
The application process to the Socrates Project consists of an application form and a short interview. To participate in our courses, you have to submit the form and attend the interview. In the application form we ask you to provide basic personal information and answer a few questions about your interest and motivation to join a Socrates Course. The goal of the interview is to get to know you better. All successful applicants will be interviewed.
Important: Applications are open until Friday July 10, 2021. We review applications on a rolling basis, so the sooner you apply, the sooner you will know if you have been invited to interview.
There are three ways of applying to the Socrates Project:
