On the occasion of the World Food Day (October 16th) the Human RightS Initiative (HRSI) is pleased to announce its fifth annual FOOD DRIVE.
From Monday, October 15 until next Monday, October 22, HRSI will be collecting non-perishable food items such as canned food, rice, flour, sugar, dried fruit etc in the CEU Laptop area, OSA reception area, and OSI recption area. There will be boxes where you can drop off your donations.
All donations will be given to Wesley János Óvoda in Budapest, kindergarten for children in need. At the end of the food drive HRSI will transport donations from CEU to this kindergarten. Every little bit helps!!
Last year we donated over 200 food items to Menhely Alapítvány, a Homeless shelter in Budapest's 7th district, and we hope to collect even more food this year!
There will be an info table on Tuesday, October 16, from 12 - 2 p.m. in the Octagon area on the occasion of the World Food Day. Remember, the price of one beer is equal to almost 3 cans of food and that one coffee at CEU is equal in price to a bag of sugar or flour!
